Emily’s Top 5 LinkedIn Posts of 2020
About six months ago I started posting on LinkedIn daily. I did this for 30 days in a row and then ramped down to a more reasonable, but just as regular, 3–5x/week.
Recently, I decided to look back to see which posts had the highest view counts. Here are the top five:
5. One university’s efforts to combat COVID-19 with the help of concerned citizens.
4. Disrupt Fundraising Idea #2: Collaboration
3. Disrupt Fundraising Idea #4: Invest in Testing New Ideas
2. How would you disrupt fundraising?
1. Make donors the heroes of your stories.
Interestingly, three are about shaking up the entire business of fundraising. Of the remaining two, one is about storytelling and the other is an example of such.
Out of hundreds of posts, the most popular weren’t about email strategy or writing better case statements, they were about putting an end to "this is how we've always done it" and about telling donor-centric stories.
How much do your plans for 2021 include disruption or storytelling?
