The Power of the Handwritten Word

When’s the last time you got something in the mail you were actually excited to open?

Something personal.
Something chosen just for you.
Something handwritten.

Over the summer, my husband and I made our annual visit to Jules Besch, a remarkable, independently-owned card shop in Truro, Massachusetts.

We left having spent more than I care to admit but excited to write and send all of those cards for

  • Birthdays

  • New homes

  • New babies

  • Graduations

  • Gratitude

Let’s say that one again: Gratitude.

When’s the last time you wrote a handwritten note to a donor, a colleague, or client?

In this age of digital communication and virtual meetings, print is rare. And that makes it special.

So, go get some stamps (USPS needs your support!), dig out that stash of notecards you know you have somewhere, and get writing.
